Estimia is an independent platform that helps homeowners in Spain find the real price of windows and doors — calculated for their local climate and the Spanish building code (CTE) — and connects them with trusted local installers. The window market here is opaque: prices are often hidden and matching specifications to the climate and building code is hard, so we combined precise engineering calculations with open data to protect buyers from overpaying and give honest local companies a tool that automates their work.
Built and maintained by Yatoday
Estimia isn't just a calculator — it's a full ecosystem: a public configurator, a CRM for installers, and the tooling that ties them together. It was designed, developed and is maintained by the Yatoday technology studio (yatoday.es). That means there is a real engineering team behind the system — keeping it stable 24/7, handling user and partner data in line with the GDPR, and serving pages fast.
Why we built it
The decision to build Estimia was made by the Yatoday team. Here's the reasoning, in the words of Alex — the engineer who leads the product inside the studio.
“At Yatoday we kept noticing how hard it is to buy windows in Spain. Prices are rarely published, so a homeowner has no easy way to tell whether a quote is fair, and good local installers struggle to stand out. For most people it's a confusing, time-consuming process.
We decided to make it simpler the way software people do — with precise calculations, open data, and clear pricing. So we grounded every number in the Spanish national building code (CTE DB-HE1), official climate records, and real manufacturer pricing, and put it behind a calculator anyone can use. The goal is simple: make it clear and transparent to choose and order windows, and give local companies a tool that automates their work and helps the good ones reach more customers.”
