A glass unit is a hermetically sealed structure consisting of two or more panes of glass, separated by spacer frames that form chambers filled with dried air or inert gas. Thanks to this structure, glass units effectively retain heat in the room during winter, contributing to heating savings, and protect from street noise, creating a comfortable microclimate.

The number of chambers is one of the quality assessment criteria. Plastic glass units are a hermetically sealed structure consisting of two or three panes of glass. The number of panes determines the "chamber count" of the glass unit: single-chamber (two panes) or double-chamber (three panes). The higher the chamber count, the higher the quality of the window. Between the panes, there is a thin-walled aluminum frame with perforations. This spacer frame is filled with special granules that absorb residual air moisture and protect the glass from fogging and freezing.
