Spain has to renovate its worst-performing homes this decade. There's no ban on your energy class — but the building code sets what your windows must meet, region by region, and grants and tax deductions help cover it. See the rules, the dates and what your home needs.
Guides and insights to help you choose windows in Spain

A full data report on windows and doors in Spain: the PVC value chain traced through customs data (resin, profiles, finished units), where Spain buys its profiles and ships its windows, the €4.16-billion domestic sector, the swing from aluminium to PVC, and the subsidy bottleneck holding back a 20-million-home renovation backlog.

Aluminium is Spain's home-team window material — and the customs data shows why. Spain net-exports roughly $1.2 billion of aluminium extrusions and finished windows a year, shipping to France, the UK and Latin America, led by Galician giants like Cortizo. A full data report on the aluminium value chain, who makes it, the thermal-break problem, and where PVC is eating in.

Headlines say homes must reach 'class E by 2030' or you won't be able to sell. That isn't what the law says — those per-home class rules were dropped from the final EU directive. Here's the honest version: what the EPBD actually requires of Spanish housing, why your windows still matter, and the one deadline that's genuinely real.
Everything you wanted to know about Estimia
No. Estimia is an independent IT platform and marketplace. We provide you with an engineering calculator for window calculations and connect you with trusted local manufacturers and installers in Spain.
No, using the calculator, using the AI assistant, and receiving quotes are completely free for buyers. The platform earns money from service fees from partner companies.
No problem! To receive initial quotes from companies, approximate dimensions are sufficient (for example, measuring from edge to edge with a tape measure). Before the window goes into production, a professional measurer from the company you selected will visit you free of charge.
The calculator shows the "Registered Price Index" (RRP) of the structure itself, so you can understand the approximate budget. The final price you receive from the companies will include delivery, removal of the old windows, and installation of the new ones.
You sign an official contract and pay the installation company you choose directly. Estimia does not accept payments for window manufacturing.
Yes. Our quote portal includes an AI assistant: tell it something like "soundproof windows for a second-floor flat in Madrid" and it builds a starter project for you. You then fine-tune the design with the visual configurator before sending it out for bids.
Absolutely not. We protect your contact information. Your request is sent to companies anonymously. They send their price quotes directly to your Estimia account. You decide which companies you want to share your contact information with so they can schedule an appointment.
We only allow officially registered businesses in Spain to access the platform (we check CIF/NIF). Companies undergo our moderation process, and we permanently block their marketplace profiles for any attempts at fraud or poor quality work.
The warranty (for the profile, hardware, and labor) is provided by the installing company in accordance with Spanish law. Profile manufacturers (Rehau, Cortizo, etc.) also provide multi-year manufacturer's warranties on the material.
Yes. Estimia operates from Spain and complies with the GDPR. From your account you can export or delete your contact data at any time, and our support team will help if you prefer to do it by email. We never sell or rent your information — only the companies you explicitly choose receive your contact details.
Estimia works in all 52 provinces. Pick yours to see local companies and fair market prices.
