What is the difference from cheap sliders (High-Design)?

The difference is enormous. Cheap systems (High-Design) use brush seals that let air through. Synego Slide uses a continuous rubber seal (like a refrigerator). It is a proper warm wall, not just a rain barrier.

Is this better than tilt-and-slide (PSK) doors?

Definitely. Old PSK portals (that tilt and slide out like a bus door) are hard to operate, often break down, and have high thresholds. Synego Slide has none of these problems: it does not tilt, it just slides, and it is much harder to damage the mechanism.

How hard is it to break in?

Thanks to the press-to-close mechanism, the sash cannot be pried open with a crowbar like a regular window. The burglar resistance class reaches RC2. This is a serious obstacle for a thief, especially combined with anti-vandal laminated glass.

What size can the door be?

We recommend sashes up to 1.5–1.6 meters wide and up to 2.5 meters high. If the opening is wider than 4 meters, it is better to consider the Geneo HST system, as Synego hardware has limits on glass unit weight.

Will the threshold be flush with the floor?

No, there is a technical threshold (frame) that you need to step over (about 6-7 cm high). If you need an absolutely flat "zero" threshold for a wheelchair—you need the Geneo HST system, but it costs significantly more.

Is adjustment required?

Much less frequently than for PSK portals. The Synego Slide mechanism is self-centering. The main thing is to keep the bottom track clean from construction debris and sand.
