Cortizo C 70 is proof that sliding windows can be warm. Unlike older aluminium sliders, this system is made from high-quality PVC with a 70 mm installation depth, compatible with main window systems. It is the ideal choice for those who want to save usable space on a balcony or terrace without sacrificing home comfort and indoor temperature.

The profile design has been developed specifically for the Spanish climate: it is resistant to intense sunlight, salty sea air, and requires no painting. Thanks to the multi-chamber construction of the frame and sash, the C 70 effectively reduces street noise and keeps cool air inside during summer. Smooth operation is ensured by reliable rollers and steel guides (reinforcement) hidden inside the profile. This is a practical, durable, and aesthetically pleasing solution for modern apartments.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions about Cortizo C 70

How does the C 70 system differ from the casement A 70?

C 70 is a sliding system (sashes move left-right), while A 70 is a casement system (opens on hinges). C 70 is more convenient in limited spaces, but A 70 provides slightly better sealing and sound insulation due to rubber compression.

Will the plastic yellow in the sun?

No, Cortizo uses a high-quality PVC compound with titanium dioxide additives, specially developed for countries with high solar activity. The profile retains its whiteness and glossy surface for decades.

What glazing unit can be installed in this system?

The maximum glazing unit thickness is 28 mm. This allows installation of a standard double glazed unit (two 4 or 6 mm panes) with low-E coating and argon filling, which is quite sufficient for a warm balcony.

How secure is the sliding system?

The system is equipped with latch locks (crescent locks) that securely fix the sash. Thanks to the robust steel reinforcement inside the profile, forcing the sash open is quite difficult, although in terms of burglar resistance class it is inferior to casement windows with mushroom cams.

Is it difficult to clean these windows?

Maintenance is simple as PVC is easily cleaned with soapy water. The main advantage is the ability to remove the sashes (with some skill or professional assistance) for safe cleaning of exterior glass, which is especially important on upper floors.

Can the C 70 be used as a terrace exit?

Yes, this is a common application. However, keep in mind that the system has a small threshold (frame) that needs to be stepped over. For doors with high foot traffic, it is better to consider dedicated door systems or lift-and-slide configurations.
