UW- value 0,80

Schüco ASE 80.HI is the technological pinnacle of the Schüco sliding system range. Thanks to the increased sash depth (80 mm) and special foam inserts in the thermal break zone, this system provides thermal insulation at the "Passivhaus" standard level. This allows creating fully glazed walls in cottages even in northern regions without the risk of cold and drafts.

As with the 60 series, designer DesignLine solutions are available with minimal sash meeting width (40 mm) and fully concealed hardware, making the massive and warm structure visually light and airy.

System structural parameters:

  • Frame installation depth: 180 mm (for 2 tracks).
  • Sash installation depth: 80 mm.
  • HI Technology (High Insulation): Special foam fillers are installed inside the central thermal break zone, blocking air convection.
  • Design: DesignLine version available with narrow 40 mm meeting rail and "floor level" threshold for barrier-free access.
  • Hardware: Concealed, with SmartClose support (soft closing) and mechanical handle reinforcement (easy lifting of heavy sash).

Glazing options:

  • Maximum infill thickness: up to 60 mm.
  • Glass unit types: Allows installation of double-chamber units with laminated glass and thick panes for maximum sound insulation and safety.

Certified characteristics:

  • Thermal insulation (Uw): down to 0.80 W/m²K (passive house standard).
  • Sound insulation (Rw): up to 43 dB.
  • Burglar resistance: up to RC2 class.
  • Air permeability: Class 4.
  • Maximum weight: up to 600 kg (TipTronic).

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions about Schüco ASE 80.HI

What is the main difference from ASE 60?

Profile depth (80 mm vs 60 mm) and the presence of foam inserts. ASE 80.HI is significantly warmer and allows installation of thicker and heavier glass units (up to 60 mm).

Is it suitable for a passive house?

Yes, when using an energy-efficient glass unit, the ASE 80.HI system meets the strict criteria of the Passive House Institute.

Will the threshold freeze?

No, the threshold has a complex design with thermal break and composite materials, which prevents freezing even with flush floor installation.

How do you operate a huge sash?

In manual mode, spring-loaded handle boosters help reduce lifting effort. For maximum comfort, the concealed TipTronic drive is recommended (opening via button/smartphone).

Can you make a fully glazed corner?

Yes, the system allows implementing an opening 90° corner without a fixed post. When the sashes are opened, the corner of the house remains completely free.

Is there insect protection?

Schüco offers integrated insect screens and pleated blinds that can be built into the frame structure without compromising appearance.
