UW- value 1,1

Schüco ASE 60 (Aluminium Sliding Element) is a next-generation system designed for those who value technology and design. Despite the compact 60 mm sash installation depth, this system offers features previously available only in the premium segment: SmartClose soft-close mechanisms and fully concealed hardware.

The particular pride of engineers is the DesignLine version. It allows the central sash meeting point to be incredibly narrow (only 40 mm), blurring the boundary between home and outdoors. This is the ideal choice for terrace glazing and conservatories in warm climates or as interior partitions.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions about Schüco ASE 60

What is the difference between ASE 60 and the old ASS 50?

ASE 60 is a new platform. It is warmer (better thermal break), quieter, supports heavier glazing, and has a narrow meeting point option (40 mm) that was not available in older systems.

Can it be installed flush with the floor?

Yes, the ASE 60 frame can be recessed into the floor to create barrier-free passage (flush threshold), which is especially convenient for terrace exits.

Is the thermal insulation sufficient for winter?

A Uw coefficient of around 1.1-1.3 is quite sufficient for temperate climates. However, for passive houses or very harsh climates, we recommend considering the higher ASE 80.HI version.

What is the maximum size?

A single sash can be up to 3.5 meters in width or height. This allows glazing of huge openings with a minimum number of mullions.

Can it be automated?

Yes, the system is fully compatible with Schüco TipTronic drives. Control is possible from a button on the handle, on the wall, or via a smartphone app.

How does finger pinch protection work?

SmartStop and SmartClose technologies mechanically slow down the sash. In the automatic TipTronic version, sensors instantly stop movement if an obstacle appears in the opening.
