WDS SL 60 — The perfect solution for Spanish balconies and loggias (Galerías). Where a casement window "eats up" useful space, a sliding system is indispensable. Sashes move parallel to each other, not interfering with clotheslines, cabinets, or flowers on the windowsill.

Why it's better than regular aluminum:

  • Warmer to touch: PVC has low thermal conductivity. In winter, the frame doesn't freeze, and in summer, it doesn't heat up from the sun like cheap aluminum "sliders."
  • Silence: Plastic absorbs vibrations. The sound of rain or wind will no longer resonate throughout the apartment.
  • Dust protection: The system is equipped with quality felt sealing (Filspiece) and special plugs (filing pieces) at sash joints, creating a reliable barrier against city dust and wind.

The best choice for glazing cold zones, summer verandas, or separating kitchen and laundry areas.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions about WDS SL60

How airtight is this system?

Sliding systems use brush sealing (felt), not rubber pressure sealing. They excellently protect against rain and wind but don't provide 100% airtightness like casement windows. For living rooms, WDS 76 is better; SL 60 is ideal for balconies.

Can a glass unit be installed?

Yes, the system is designed for 4-6 mm glass or 18 mm single-chamber glass unit installation. We recommend glass units — they significantly reduce street noise.

How many sashes can be made?

We can manufacture 2, 3, 4, or even 6-sash constructions. Opening schemes are possible where all sashes slide to one side, opening 2/3 of the opening.

Are the rollers reliable?

We use reinforced rollers with polymer coating. They ensure smooth and quiet sash movement for years without wearing down the aluminum rail.
