WDS 8S — Investment in absolute comfort. This is the most powerful system in our range, designed for building energy-efficient cottages and passive houses (Passivhaus). With 82 mm installation width and 6 chambers, it exceeds the strictest European heat-saving standards.
MD Technology (Triple Seal Systems):
The main distinguishing feature of this system is the third (middle) sealing circuit. It divides the space between frame and sash into two chambers:
- Dry chamber for hardware: Mechanisms are reliably protected from moisture and salty air, critical for Spanish coastal zones. Hardware lasts 2 times longer.
- Impenetrable barrier: The third rubber lip eliminates even micro-drafts and increases sound insulation to record values.
By choosing WDS 8S, you get premium German brand characteristics (Veka 82, Salamander bluEvolution) while saving up to 30% of budget.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions about WDS 8S
Is WDS 8S worth paying more than 70-series?
If you're building your own private home, have panoramic windows, or an apartment with individual heating meter — yes, it's worth it. Savings on electricity bills will pay off the difference in 3-4 years. Plus, the third sealing circuit provides a completely different comfort level (no drafts).
What is the "third circuit" and why is it needed?
It's a rubber lip in the middle of the frame. Regular windows have two (outside and inside). The third circuit protects metal hardware from water (it doesn't rust) and creates an additional air chamber, improving thermal insulation.
What glass unit is best to install in this profile?
To unlock the 82 mm profile's potential, we recommend installing a double-glazed unit (3 panes) 44 mm thick with low-E coating and argon. Installing a regular "cold" package in such a frame is impractical.
Can this window handle heavy sashes?
Yes, the WDS 8S system is designed for heavy glass units. Thanks to closed reinforcement and strong profile walls, we manufacture large sashes without sagging risk.
Can this window be integrated into a "Smart Home" system?
Yes, the hardware groove allows installation of concealed opening sensors (reed switches) for alarms and climate control, preserving window aesthetics.
How does WDS 8S compare to REHAU Geneo or Schüco Living 82?
WDS 8S has similar installation depth (82 mm), 6 chambers, and third sealing circuit — the same technologies as premium German brands. The main difference is price: WDS costs 35-45% less with comparable thermal insulation (Uf ≤ 1.0 W/m²K) and sound insulation (up to 45 dB) characteristics.
